We started as two friends who believed the Himalayas should be experienced, not just seen. Twelve years later, we've helped over 2,500 trekkers live their mountain dreams — safely, authentically, and with a team that truly cares.
In 2011, Tenzing Sherpa and Rajesh Adhikari met on the Manaslu Circuit — Tenzing was guiding, Rajesh was a client. Over 16 days of shared struggle, laughter, and the surreal beauty of Larkya La at dawn, a friendship was forged.
They realized something was missing in Nepal's trekking industry: companies that treated treks like products — checkboxes on a list. Both wanted something different — a company where every trekker felt like a friend, every guide was empowered, and the mountains were respected, not exploited.
In 2013, with $3,000 in savings and a borrowed laptop, Nepal Trekking Dreams was born in a tiny room above a tea shop in Thamel. Their first season: 14 trekkers, 3 routes, and a single shared phone number.
Today, we operate across 6 regions with 16 curated routes, a team of 45+ guides and 80+ porters, and have welcomed over 2,500 trekkers from 67 countries. But the philosophy hasn't changed — we still plan every trek the way we'd plan our own.
These aren't just words on a page — they guide every decision we make, from itinerary design to how we treat our porters.
Every decision — acclimatization schedule, guide ratios, gear standards — starts with one question: "Is this the safest option?" We never compromise on safety for speed or profit.
No hidden fees, no surprise upsells, no misleading "from" prices. Our itineraries show exactly what's included and excluded. If something goes wrong, we tell you first — not when you find out.
Our porters carry max 15kg (industry standard is often 30kg+). They receive proper gear, insurance, fair wages, and tips. We're proud members of the Porter Protection Guild.
We follow Leave No Trace principles on every trek. Our groups carry waste bags, we sponsor trail clean-ups, and 5% of every trek's revenue funds environmental projects in the regions we visit.
We don't just pass through villages — we invest in them. Our guides teach trekkers local customs, we support community homestays, and we donate to monasteries and schools along our routes.
Every itinerary is personally walked and refined by our team. We don't copy-paste from guidebooks. Each route includes hidden gems, optimal acclimatization, and experiences you won't find elsewhere.
Born in Namche Bazaar at 3,440m, Tenzing grew up watching expeditions pass through his village. He started as a porter at 16, earned his guide license at 20, and has since summited Everest twice and led over 300 treks across Nepal.
His deep knowledge of the trails, weather patterns, and local communities is the foundation of every route we operate. Tenzing personally walks and refines every new itinerary before we offer it to clients.
A former software engineer from Kathmandu, Rajesh did his first trek in 2010 and it changed his life. After meeting Tenzing on Manaslu, he left his IT career to build the company that he wished had existed when he was a first-time trekker.
Rajesh handles operations, technology, and the client experience — from the website you're reading to the emergency satellite phones on every trek. His obsession with process and detail ensures every trip runs seamlessly.
45+ guides, 80+ porters, and a Kathmandu support team — all dedicated to your safety and experience.
